About Us
We are members of the Baha'i Faith who reside in Claremont , California. Claremont is located in the shadows of the San Gabriel Mountains about 35 miles east of Los Angeles. As Baha'is, we are members of the second most widespread of the world's independent religions, established in 260 countries and territories throughout the world. The Baha'i world community represents over 2,100 ethnic, racial, and tribal groups and numbers more than six million adherents worldwide.
As Baha'is we believe in one God, the Creator of the universe, and that throughout history God has revealed His plan to humanity through a series of Divine Messengers. These Messengers have included Krishna, Abraham, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, the Bab and Baha'u'llah , the most recent Messenger and Founder of the Baha'i Faith. Baha'is believe in and strive to advance the principles emphasized by Baha'u'llah. Among these principles are: the Oneness of God, the Oneness of religion, the Oneness of humanity, the independent investigation of truth, the equality of women and men, the elimination of prejudice, the elimination of extremes of wealth and poverty, universal education, the harmony of science and religion, a world commonwealth of nations, and a universal auxiliary language.
At the heart of our beliefs is the conviction that we are all members of one human family. In the words of Baha'u'llah " . . . The peoples of the world, of whatever race or religion, derive their inspiration from one heavenly Source, and are the subjects of one God." We invite you to learn more about the Bahá'à Faith.
